EQECAT's report discusses flood conditions for the Brisbane region, and the economic losses from this flooding catastrophe.

Heavy rains beginning in late December 2010, upon a saturated drainage basin, have contributed to the flooding of the Brisbane River which transits Brisbane, and many other regional rivers are flooding as well. Damage to Brisbane and surrounding areas is extensive, with many casualties and economic damage estimates approaching $10 billion.
