EQECAT’s Kate Stillwell Selected to First Class of EERI Housner Fellows

EQECAT, Inc. is proud to announce that Kate Stillwell, Product Manager of Earthquake Products, has been selected by the Earthquake Engineering Research Institute (EERI) as a member of the first class of Housner Fellows.

EERI's Housner Fellows Management Committee selected 9 Fellows out of 55 competitive applicants for the inaugural class of Housner Fellows. EERI began this new leadership training program with a bequest from George Housner. Additional support for the program has been provided by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and the Global Facility for Disaster Reduction and Recovery (GFDRR) of the World Bank.

Housner Fellows will participate in a weeklong leadership training program at Asilomar in Pacific Grove, California, in June. During their two years of active participation in the program, the class will develop a group project and individual projects with the support of mentors.

Ms. Stillwell is a Structural Engineer in California and has practiced engineering both independently and with various firms. She is a member of the Structural Engineers Association of Northern California, the Earthquake Engineering Association of Northern California, the Earthquake Engineering Research Institute and the Engineers Alliance for the Arts.
