2010 Asia Catastrophe Modelling Conference
12:00 AM 12:00 AM
Conference Overview
Asia has experienced rapid economic growth over the past 10 years. It is also a region that is exposed to a variety of natural catastrophe risks, including wind and flood damage from typhoons. The combination of growth and underlying risk has created an increased risk profile that has profound implications for the global re/insurance industry. In 2009, several typhoons affected Asia, including typhoons Morakot and Ketsana.
To meet Asia's increasing need to better understand natural catastrophe risk, EQECAT hosted a half-day conference and reception on May 18, 2010 at the InterContinental Singapore.
Highlights of the conference agenda include presentations on the following topics:
- Typhoon Wind and Flood damage in Asia
