EQECAT's Market Update
Advances in the science and engineering evaluations of natural catastrophic risk, aligned with insurance market pressures for growth and risk differentiation are enabling EQECAT to provide improved natural catastrophe risk models for the insurance and risk finance communities. Highlights for EQECAT's 2008 model and software updates include improvements to EQECAT's European Extra-tropical windstorm model and its US earthquake model.
Please join EQECAT at one of our upcoming "Market Update" seminars as we discuss improvements to the Eurowind model, expanding coverage with an additional 11 countries, including the most up-to-date weather records augmented with AOGCM modeling to improve risk modelling for the most extreme events, updated storm-surge modelling, and new vulnerability models to more comprehensively and completely model the risks that insurers cover. The US earthquake model is being updated to include the revisions derived from the latest UCERF (Uniform California Earthquake Rupture Forecast) and the impacts upon measured property and personal accident (workers compensation) risk.
