U.S. Hurricane and Earthquake Model

U.S. Hurricane Model

The U.S. hurricane model has been updated in the WORLDCATenterprise TM V3.8 and USWind V5.10. This model has been certified by the FCHLPM for rate making in the state of Florida.

U.S. Earthquake Model

The EQECAT U.S. earthquake model was last updated in 2005 to be fully compliant with the 2003 USGS, CGS & SFBA Working Group earthquake hazard models, with minor exceptions (reviewed by CGS & USGS). The model is time-dependent and includes the latest scientifically validated technology based on scientific consensus and fault interaction effects of the 1906 San Francisco earthquake (“stress shadow”).

Although the model was updated last year, EQECAT is dedicated to incorporate all the latest data and scientific information available in its model.
