Technical Note: Eurowind

Introduction

The EQECAT European windstorm model Eurowind is a probabilistic model designed to estimate damage and insured losses due to the occurrence of extratropical storms in 11 countries in Western Europe: Belgium, Denmark, France, Germany, Ireland, Luxembourg, Monaco, Netherlands, Norway, Sweden, and the United Kingdom. The model is incorporated into the WORLDCATenterprise platform.
