Latin America Quake Update (Version 3.8)

This document summarizes changes to the EQECAT Latin America Quake model that are contained in the May 2006 release of WORLDCATenterprise (version 3.8). The new Latin America Quake model is a substantial update, encompassing improvements to hazard, vulnerability, and analysis methodology. The countries included in the model are Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Peru and Venezuela. Nicaragua and Panama have been added as new countries for earthquake peril only.
