How do I enter a XOL Treaty with Reinstatements?
Reinstatements in the EQECAT model are treated as “100% to time, proportional to loss” reinstatements. Occurrence limits are ‘reinstated’ the number of times specified by the user. A report on expected annual reinstatement premiums and the annual probability of incurring a loss into the reinstated limits is included in the ‘Probabilistic Analysis’ tab in the Reinsurance Case folder. All of the analysis results for reinsurance portfolios can be viewed “excluding the effects of reinstatements”, which enables the user to evaluate the risk results (per-occurrence, annual aggregate) as if all of the layer aggregate limits were the same as the occurrence limit, as well as the results including the reinstated limits.
