Release Notes for WORLDCATenterprise™ Version 3.8
How To Use The Near Term Weather Tool
EQECAT has done a significant amount of research into the correlation of hurricane arrivals along the Atlantic, Gulf and Caribbean coasts with the Atlantic Multi-Decadal Oscillation (see EQECAT White Paper). The correlation of property loss potential with this persistent (50 to 70 years for an entire cycle) is very strong and should be accounted for in the estimation of future risk. This cycle is currently in the ‘Warm’ stage, which correlates with higher risk to property along the coast, and the cycle is expected to remain in this stage for 10 to 15 more years.
