EQECAT Loss Modeling Methodology

This paper discusses EQECAT's loss modeling approach and represents years of combined research in hurricane and earthquake science, engineering, and insurance industry claims analysis. The resulting models have been and are continually being validated against hazard and claims data to assure that they reflect current (as well as historical) construction and building practices, along with current developments in policy coverage and claims settlement practices.
