Bermuda Spared by Tropical Storm Sean

Tropical Storm Sean passed roughly 80 miles to the north-northwest of Bermuda early Friday, November 11, 2011. At the time of closest approach, around 6 to 7 am EST, the storm’s maximum wind speed was 60 mph, causing no significant damage to Bermuda.
Sean has begun to lose its tropical storm characteristics, as of 2 pm AST, the storm was 215 miles northeast of Bermuda (34.8N; 62.5W) with maximum winds of 50 mph. Little change in the storm strength is expected before Sean is absorbed by a frontal system tonight or early Saturday.
