Kent David, Vice President - Consulting Services

Kent David is Vice President of Consulting Services at EQECAT, Inc. Mr. David has worked at EQECAT, Inc. and its prior operating companies since 1987 and has more than 20 years of experience in natural catastrophe analysis, natural hazard modeling and risk assessment for the insurance industry and for the nuclear power industry.

At EQECAT, Mr. David has been deeply involved in the validation and testing of the financial modeling engines used in EQECAT's products. He has worked extensively in the risk transfer sector, having been involved in both the management and execution of projects supporting the transfer of catastrophe risk to the capital markets. Mr. David has also been involved in the post earthquake survey, damage assessment, and client recovery efforts following the 1989 Loma Prieta, 1994 Northridge, and 1995 Kobe earthquakes.

Mr. David holds an M.S. in structural engineering and structural mechanics from the University of California, Berkeley, (1986), and a B.S. in civil engineering from the University of California, Berkeley (1985). He is a licensed Professional Engineer in Civil Engineering in the State of California.

Mr. David is based in Oakland, CA.
